Spotlight Series: Edwin “the roaster” Parnell
We are starting a new series here on the Black Rifle Coffee blog, the Spotlight Series! During this series we will be spotlighting some of the fantastic people that are behind the scenes of Black Rifle Coffee!
Our first spotlight on our series, is our badass and talented java expert and roaster Edwin Parnell. Edwin is a silent force in the office, but his work is what brings you all back and back again! If you didn’t already know this, Edwin calibrates every coffee roast that is on the site and roasts every bean in house!

Edwin’s a roaster. He roasts coffee! Simply said there Edwin! Roast on!
what is your favorite part of roasting?
EP: “having direct control over the product that we are sending out.”
how many pounds of beans do you roast a day?
EP: “about 5,000 pounds”
how did you become a master roaster?
EP: “I took a couple classes with the SCA (speciality coffee association).”
